Tucked away on Ontario Street East in the Hochelaga-Maisonneuve district of Montreal, the newest Petros Taverna restaurant location is already getting warm reviews.
This is the seventh Petros location, with others being in Westmount, Griffintown, Lachine, Laurier (Mile End), Little Italy and South Shore Beloeil. Ted Dranias is the founder and brand ambassador. Karim Nur has spearheaded this new spot, as well as Beloeil. He also owns the Lachine and Griffintown franchises.
The newest Petros is in a wonderful location at 4315 Ontario Street East, near the corner of Pie IX. It is open seven nights a week for dinner.
I was among those fortunate enough to attend the grand opening on January 7. It was my first time visiting a Petros and let me say how impressed I was. Petros is one of those restaurants that turns a simple dinner into a memorable evening. From the warm welcome at the door to the last bite of dessert, our visit was a delightful journey through authentic Mediterranean flavours with a distinctly Greek heart.
The menu at Petros celebrates Mediterranean and Greek traditions with fresh ingredients, bold herbs, and olive oil-rich dishes that remind you why this cuisine is beloved worldwide. Every plate we tried was full of flavor, from vibrant mezze to perfectly grilled mains. The highlight was how balanced and authentic each dish felt — a testament to chefs who clearly understand their craft and culture.
Whether you’re sharing plates with friends or savoring a standout solo meal, the food here strikes a great balance between comfort and culinary refinement.

Niché sur la rue Ontario Est, dans le quartier Hochelaga-Maisonneuve de Montréal, le tout nouveau restaurant Petros Taverna reçoit déjà des critiques élogieuses.
Il s'agit du septième établissement Petros, les autres se trouvant à Westmount, Griffintown, Lachine, Laurier (Mile End), Little Italy et Beloeil, sur la rive sud. Ted Dranias en est le fondateur et l'ambassadeur de la marque. Karim Nur est à l'origine de ce nouvel établissement, ainsi que de celui de Beloeil. Il est également propriétaire des franchise de Lachine et à Griffintown.

Le tout nouveau Petros bénéficie d'un emplacement idéal au 4315, rue Ontario Est, près du coin de Pie IX. Il est ouvert sept soirs par semaine pour le souper.
J'ai eu la chance d'assister à l'inauguration le 7 janvier. C'était ma première visite chez Petros et je dois dire que j'ai été très impressionné. Petros fait partie de ces restaurants qui transforment un simple dîner en une soirée mémorable. De l'accueil chaleureux à la porte jusqu'à la dernière bouchée du dessert, notre visite a été un délicieux voyage à travers les saveurs authentiques de la Méditerranée, avec une touche grecque distinctive.
Le menu de Petros célèbre les traditions méditerranéennes et grecques avec des ingrédients frais, des herbes aromatiques et des plats riches en huile d'olive qui vous rappellent pourquoi cette cuisine est appréciée dans le monde entier. Tous les plats que nous avons goûtés étaient pleins de saveurs, des mezze colorés aux plats principaux parfaitement grillés. Le point fort était l'équilibre et l'authenticité de chaque plat, preuve que les chefs maîtrisent parfaitement leur art et leur culture.
Que vous partagiez des assiettes avec des amis ou que vous savouriez un repas exceptionnel en solo, la cuisine ici offre un excellent équilibre entre confort et raffinement culinaire.
